Secretary - Birmingham
CBRE have an exciting opportunity for a secretary to support our Valuation team in Birmingham by providing exceptional administrative support to individuals ranging from Directors to graduates.
Key Responsibilities
• Diary management – pro-actively manage busy diaries, make appointments and arrange meeting rooms.
• Telephone liaison – answer client queries, take messages and field calls where appropriate.
• Manage incoming communication (including voicemail and email) and ensure that all mail is processed in an accurate and timely manner.
• Make travel arrangements, and ensure that all work activities are scheduled effectively.
• Communicate on a daily basis with the Directors and other fee earners, ensuring a high level of awareness of current priorities, whereabouts and priorities.
• Liaising with various internal and external employees and clients across EMEA.
• Process expense claims.
• Assist with the organisation of client and internal events, including Board meetings and social events.
• Preparation and distribution of minutes of Directors’ meetings. Typing of general correspondence. Preparation of presentations/pitches.
• Typing (including of digital dictation notes), amending, formatting, and binding reports.
• Ad hoc duties – including filing, photocopying, opening and distributing the post and archiving
• Providing reception cover on occasion

• Advanced IT skills (Word, Excel, MS Outlook and Power Point)
• GCSEs or equivalent – Maths and English language minimum C grade
• Secretarial or administration NVQ/Diploma/or equivalent
• RSA Word processing/typing/or equivalent
• Good communication skills, both verbally and in writing
• Proven experience working in an office environment, preferably in a corporate environment
