Do you hold a Law degree, maybe worked within a law firm or simply have a keen interest in law but want to move away from a corporate office?

This role is very autonomous and requires high level of self-management skills as well as excellent time management and attention to detail. This position would suit a candidate who is very proactive and happy to work across departments/functions.

Duties:

Compliance

  • Working with the Head of Legal and Regulatory Affairs to manage the firm's regulatory compliance processes
  • Work with Internal Communications Lead on compliance communications throughout the business
  • Assisting Head of Legal and Regulatory affairs with any ad hoc compliance and regulatory issues
  • Attend and minute Regular group compliance and information security meetings with Head of Legal and Regulatory Affairs.
  • Compliance research as needed

Commercial

  • Working with the Sales Director and Head of Commercial in turning agreed commercial terms into legal documents for SSLN - FSSS and drafting of Variation Letters in line with SSLN terms.
  • Planning for ICE (industry trade event) including but not limited to sourcing stand design, coordinating all elements of pre-event planning and event operations alongside SSLN Business Development and Trading Operations.

Administration

  • Manage contract and non-disclosure agreement administration process (for all business areas), including an up-to-date database of partner and supplier agreements
  • Organisation and Minute taking for all monthly/weekly SPIN Management and Senior Leadership team meetings.
  • Management of companywide board reports

Requirements for the Legal Assistant:

  • Advanced level at MS Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of legal and compliance processes
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Proven organisational skills
  • Experience of building trusted relationships with a broad range of key stakeholders within a business
