We have just taken on a varied Office Manager role with a small amount of PA work involved.  It is a 9 month maternity cover that will go permanent at the end of the contract at an independent fundraising advisory firm, based in lovely Mayfair offices. The firm are doing extremely well and are very well thought of within the alternative investment sector.  
 
This is a hybrid role, so your responsibilities will vary between PA support and Office Management duties, as well as a large amount of event planning:

 
  • Traditional PA support including; diary management, travel arrangement and expenses
  • An office move as they are moving offices later in the year
  • Organisation of client events including; venue, menus, gifts, entertainment etc.
  • Maintaining relationships with suppliers
  • Support with HR; on-boarding new joiners

Overall this is a really varied but busy role, so great for someone looking to get stuck in that has a wide set of skills.
 
You will need to be calm under pressure, a good communicator, manage your workload effectively to ensure deadlines are met and be able to prioritise accordingly. An excellent attention to detail is crucial in this role as any mistakes could be very costly and confidence is a desirable attribute in order to run a tight ship and to make the teams lives easier.
