Our client is looking for a professional Legal Secretary/PA to join their team in Bath.

Our client is an ever growing company within the professional services industry.

Description

This role with include but not be limited to:

  • Managing the Partner's diary as well as booking meetings and liaising with both clients and colleagues
  • Ensuring the Partner and the Senior Legal Secretary are aware upcoming work/issues; forewarning of any potential issues
  • Ensuring that Court dates are correctly placed in fee earners' diaries
  • Arranging meetings, travel arrangements and internal training
  • Processing and managing Partner's expenses, liaising with the Accounts team where necessary
  • Processing billing documents for the end of the month and liaising with the Accounts team where necessary;
  • Tracking of tasks/commitments requested by colleagues
  • Dealing with clients and agents as and when required both verbally and in person;
  • Undertaking any additional administrative tasks as reasonably required by the Team

  • Attend team meetings, produce minutes/printing docs for team for meetings and make constructive contributions to meetings
  • Attend team seminars when required
  • Ensuring efficient filing at all times
  • General document production including all the relevant related administration
  • Typing, formatting and processing of documents
  • Typing and preparing applications to the court including checking and collating attachments and enclosures
  • Typing and preparing Witness Statements including checking and correctly collating exhibits thereto
  • Typing and preparing Trial Bundles including correctly paginating and copying
  • Preparation of instructions to Counsel, including checking and correctly collating enclosures
  • Assisting the other Secretaries when required

Profile

The ideal candidate will need to posses the following

    • Previous experience of working as a PA is essential

    • Excellent multi-tasking and organisational skills

    • Good time management skills

    • High attention to detail

    • Experience of diary management

    • Experience of making and managing travel arrangements

    • Strong inter-personal skills

    • Accurate and efficient audio and copy typing skills

  • The ability to use initiative and display a positive attitude to solving problems
  • Administrative capacity and the proactive approach to improve processes
