Accounts Assistant (Junior/Trainee)

PURPOSE AND SUMMARY

This is a role for a Trainee Accountant who wishes to study CIMA to become a qualified Accountant. This will involve home study out of working hours. Responsible for assisting the management accountants’ team with a range of accounting tasks as required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Month end accruals and prepayments,
• Reconciliations of bank accounts and balance sheet accounts,
• Ad hoc tasks to assist the management accounts team.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

• School leaver, A Level qualified and able to demonstrate an ability with numbers,
• Good communication skills necessary both written and verbal,
• Knowledge of Excel,  
• Some experience in a finance department or similar role beneficial.
• B+ Mathematics Qualification 

FUTURE DEVELOPMENT

• The expectation would be that the successful candidate would train for accountancy exams and would therefore become a qualified accountant

• You are required to endorse and grow the firm’s Compliance and Risk culture in order to mitigate the risk of adversely impacting the firm's reputation
• You are required to observe the highest standards of confidentiality to avoid inappropriate disclosure of client and firm information
