A prestigious US Law Firm based in the City is looking to recruit a new Trademark Assistant to support the London office.  Responsibilities will include creating and updating client records, diary management to monitor trademark cases and follow up on routine matters, maintaining electronic files, liaising with service providers, assisting with availability searches and carrying out in-house searches, preparing draft forms and filing instructions for trademark filings, collating documents for priority filings and filing approved forms.  You will also be required to produce standard letters and reports, prepare extension and suspension requests, monitor upcoming renewals and send reminders, handle incoming post and complete any other duties as and when required.  Candidates should have a minimum two years’ experience within a trademarks practice and hold an ITMA Trade Mark Administrators Certificate.  Knowledge of UK, EU and International trademark formalities requirements for filing and recordals is also necessary, as is the ability to work well independently and as part of a team.  Standard hours are 9.30am to 5.30pm, however applicants should have a flexible attitude to work as there may be the possibility of overtime.
