Are you a Bids Manager looking for an exciting new opportunity to work for an Established Law Firm ( Full Time )

We are looking for an experienced, analytical and enthusiastic Bids Manager who is the best of the best

This is a perfect opportunity for an experienced bids manager looking to develop their existing bid skills in a proactive, dynamic environment and manage their own team.

You must be highly professional, highly experienced and have experience within Legal / Partnership

Bids Manager duties will include:

  • Management and supervision of the bid team
  • Prioritising resource within the bid team
  • Ensuring each bid is in line with firm strategy and is commercially sound
  • Overseeing and project managing a wide range of bids and capability statements
  • Working closely with partners to develop winning strategies and propositions
  • Coaching, influencing and challenging partners on applying best practice to content and delivery of content
  • Coaching and mentoring junior members of the team working on bids
  • Providing weekly tender updates to Heads of Department and Senior Partner as part of the Tender Operations Group
  • Supporting Partners in wider BD plans and activity
  • Conducting win/loss reviews, identify themes and report to Partner group
  • Identifying areas for development of new tools e.g. new bid templates/structures/content
  • Holding kick off/bid/no bid meetings and pursuing content for bids
  • Drafting, editing and proof reading compelling content, reflecting agreed messages
  • Gathering best practice and ensuring this is disseminated to the entire BD team
  • Monitoring procurement portals for potential opportunities

You Must be:

  • Have a proven ability and experience of leading, motivating and developing a team
  • Have a sound understanding of the complexities of bid management in a professional services environment
  • Be commercially aware
  • Have an ability to build effective, credible and long-lasting relationships across all levels, but especially at senior level
  • Have the ability to influence and be robust whilst winning the trust and confidence of colleagues.
  • Have experience of coaching at partner level
  • Have the ability to think analytically, whilst also demonstrating creativity and enthusiasm
  • Have strong project management experience and a proven track record in the ability to juggle multiple priorities and large projects against tight deadlines
  • Have experience of delivering commercial solutions which are engaging, creative and realistic
  • Have excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and oral, with an ability to engage at all levels
  • Be able to work calmly under pressure, to juggle multiple deadlines and to manage the expectations of demanding internal clients
  • Have excellent attention to detail, with a methodical and logical approach
  • Be a team player who is able to manage, motivate and work alongside others
  • Be able and willing to familiarise themselves with Capsticks' business sectors and the services that the firm offers to each sector
  • Be flexible, resilient, committed and good-humoured
  • Be able to work with figures and explain scoring mechanisms
  • Be technically proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications
  • Be prepared to make some limited travel between offices Have common sense!
