We are currently seeking an ambitious individual to join our Global Banking and Markets team, working together with colleagues to define, manage and achieve divisional business targets.

In this role, you will:

  • Provide professional and confident representation of assigned bankers’ offices by exhibiting and facilitating the highest standards of professional/collegiate behaviour
  • Client liaison at CEO/Chairman level
  • Manage the team effectively to meet the needs of his/her role by anticipating workload and supporting with appropriate materials, briefings, agendas, etc
  • As appropriate, participation in ‘knowledge up-date sessions’ and related technical/soft skills training.
  • Provide administrative support cover to other members of the team, as required
  • Willingness to adopt a flexible approach to work parameters
  • Prioritise workload and ability to multi-task under pressure

Administrative Duties:

  • Manage multiple electronic diaries; on-going co-ordination of conference calls, meetings involving both internal and external personnel
  • Co-ordination and on-going management of detailed, complex international travel schedules, visas and itineraries.
  • Preparation, reconciliation and submission of travel and corporate expenses as per policy
  • Ensure own, and enable bankers, timely compliance with HSBC policies, procedures and protocols, including performance review process
  • Operate within policy and seek to use the most cost effective solutions
  • Support on technology e.g. video/teleconferencing
  • Maintain archiving records and procedures
  • Set up new joiners and ensure the leaver process is completed
  • Help with the recruitment of assistants
  • Ad hoc duties as required by the business

  • Outstanding interpersonal skills (communication and networking)
  • Responsive and professional telephone answering skills.  Ability to record detailed and accurate messages
  • Advanced organisational and diary management skills.  Ability to multi-task and prioritise
  • Efficient and productive.  Ability to undertake substantial workload without sacrificing quality
  • Personable and able to build excellent rapport within team and client group
  • High levels of integrity, handling confidential information and sensitive matters in a professional manner at all times
  • Willingness to adopt a flexible approach to work parameters
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Strong IT Skills – Word, PowerPoint, Excel.
