THE COMPANY:


My Client a Membership Association based in the West End is looking for a Qualified Management Accountant to join their team. The successful candidate will be Educated to degree level and have experience of UK VAT and Management Accountancy ideally with exposure to Charity and Commercial sectors. This is a fantastic opportunity to join A company who offers longevity and career advancement. 

This is a 12 month fixed term contract that could go permanent. 

 


THE ROLE:
  • Preparation of the consolidated monthly management accounts, including KPI’s.
  • Ensure monthly journals are completed accurately and on a timely basis.
  • Preparation of UK and international VAT returns.
  • Work with Financial Business Partners to produce consolidation of annual budgets and forecasts for review.
  • Provision of financial information to department managers.
  • Responsible for supporting the Finance department in respect of its financial systems, carry out
  • System testing and working with external consultants to implement system upgrades.
  • Assist in the preparation of the group statutory accounts.
  • Reconciliation of all major control accounts.
  • Support the group treasury function.
 

 


THE PERSON:
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent, finalist/newly qualified accountant (e.g. CIMA, ACCA, etc).
  • Good understanding of both financial and management accounting techniques including budgeting and forecasting.
  • Understanding of UK VAT essential.
  • Working knowledge of Financial Reporting Standards (FRS102).
  • Good communication skills and the ability to translate financial system requirements into workable solutions.
  • Advanced/intermediate user Excel with the ability to use functions such as vlookup, pivot tables etc.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and to agreed deadlines, flexible approach around key annual accounting and budgeting tasks.
  • Use of initiative and pro-active attitude to provide information that add value and simplifies process where possible.
  • An eye for detail and ability to work a consistently high level of accuracy.
  • Knowledge of Navision is highly desirable.
