Ftse 100 commodities firm based in the West End is looking for an experienced individual to be part of a team of 6 HR professionals to work alongside the Payroll and Benefits Advisor to learn this role in its entirety and partner with the current incumbent to provide competent cover during periods of absence. Working in a generalist capacity with the ability to assist the wider HR team with an analytical (payroll and reporting) and commercial focus.
Key Responsibilities
Payroll
- Administer and reconcile various payrolls including:
- UK based sterling
- UK based dollar
- Pensioners
- Overseas
- Expatriate rotator
- Ensure all end of payroll cycle reconciliation and reporting is completely timely and accurately, working with Finance departments to ensure sufficient funds and reports are available when necessary.
- Manage the relationship with outsourced providers for payroll and ensuring the payroll processing meets the legal standards.
- Assist with the annual compensation review process.
- Manage payroll and pension audits so that all data requests are fulfilled in a timely manner.
- Process starters and leavers.
- Manage other company data, including beneficial loans, Directors emoluments, annual P11d and P60 reporting.
- Manage the annual EBT process.
- Maintain ad hoc working spreadsheets.
- Reconcile data between working systems.
- Ensure compliance with auto-enrolment requirements.
- Collect pension payments from Overseas members of staff and maintain accurate records.
- Working with Finance team during year end reporting to ensure accurate reporting.
Expatriate Management
- Maintain up-to-date data on all expatriate staff.
- Manage starters, leavers and changes that effect the expatriate rotator payroll.
Benefits
- Working with the Payroll and Benefits Advisor to:
- Liaise with the external benefits providers and Brokers.
- Manage the annual renewal process of benefits.
- Administer Pensions; processing joiners and leavers, AVCs and liaising with the Pension Trustees.
- Effectively communicate changes to staff in respect of benefits, pay etc where appropriate.
- Proactively manage the yearly renewal calendar for all benefits.
Pensions
- Pensions - manage the data flow to Friends Life - ensuring accuracy/manage the relationship with FL/conducing annual review of company brochures, annual statement production/new starters and leavers/transfer requests
- Work with Benefits Consultant on renewals and pension information sessions and ad hoc queries and provide all renewal data in a timely manner. DB pension scheme
- Participate in ad hoc projects, i.e. beauty parade for potential new pension's administrator.
Data Management
- Responsible for Management Information in HR on a monthly and ad hoc basis.
- Ensuring the integrity of data through regular data house-keeping exercises and data.
KEY SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- CIPD qualified (or equivalent)
- Preferably degree educated
- Advanced Excel (Vlook up, pivot tables, creating dashboards) and good working knowledge of Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Experience of working with HRIS Systems
- Experience of automating and streamlining processes (desirable)
- Experience of managing a payroll (expatriate / rotator payroll desirable)
- Benefits administration
- Demonstrable experience of working credibly with all levels in the business up to Director level
