Training & Knowledge Centre of Excellence Lead
This is an opportunity to join a major financial services company within a growing Training and Knowledge team. The Training and Knowledge Team is formed of three teams; the Admin team, the Content team and the Delivery team. You will work as part of the Delivery Team. You will work with a highly skilled team delivering outstanding learning support to all our offices based within the UK and internationally.
You will be responsible for the creation of a new Centre of Excellence. The Centre of Excellence is a new venture for the Training and Knowledge team and will involve setting up the Centre of Excellence from the beginning, offering certification programs in Prince2, ITIL and Microsoft Office.
Training and Knowledge is a function which supports the whole of the UK and therefore travel will be required to support developing skills across teams in our network of office locations, some international travel will be required.
Role responsibilities
Establish and build a Centre of Excellence for all staff and ultimately clients to become certified in a range of qualifications primarily, Prince2, ITIL and Microsoft Office.
- Create a plan and strategy for building and establishing the Centre of Excellence;
- Be at the heart of driving marketing campaigns for the COE;
- Assist with ensuring the firm, you and your colleagues are formally accredited to train and certify our clients with the relevant qualifications;
- Build administrative processes to support the setup of the testing centre which meets approvals with examining board standard;
- If required, establish an internal verification and quality assurance process to ensure candidates are treated fairly and the required training and support is provisioned accordingly;
- Work with the exam providers to establish a curriculum aligned to programs and processes to enable our clients to learn the key requirements for certification;
- Submit, retrieve and disclose examination results in a timely manner;
- Ensure client confidentiality is maintained adhering to the Data Protection Act;
- Ensure examination materials are kept in a secure location as instructed by the examining bodies;
- Strategically and commercially aware and have ability to build strong client relationships with significant experience of working with demanding clients across a wide spectrum of size and activities;
- Identifying and supporting cross-centre best practice/training initiatives throughout the UK;
Technical knowledge
- Experience in forming a Centre of Excellence or strong experience marketing a new initiative to a business;
- Must be Prince2, ITIL and Microsoft Office certified;
- Experience of training Project Management, Service Delivery and Microsoft Office focussed curriculum's;
- Experience in conducting skills assessments and relaying the outcomes to candidates/clients;
- A genuine interest in technology and business qualifications;
Management and administration
- Build strong client relationships within the firm to market the COE and acquire key information for inclusion within the various curriculums;
- Commercially and strategically aware, the successful candidate will have a real flair for marketing and selling a professional service;
- Attention to detail is essential
- Strong analytical, facilitation and process mapping skills
- Work with the Quality Assurance and Instructional Design Specialist to develop material which is on-brand, tracked for revisions and changes, maintained on our portal as well as supporting blended learning approaches and engaging training methodologies for delivery;
Qualifications
- Prince 2 Practioner Level qualified;
- ITIL Version 3 qualified;
- Microsoft Office User Specialist to MCAS level;
- Industry experience across numerous sectors advantageous;
- Demonstrable experience of marketing new initiatives;
- Proven track record in training and development and delivery in large, multi-national corporate environments;
- Strong analytical, facilitation and process mapping skills;
- Experience of running a certification and accreditation program in-house;
- Experience of administering examinations;
- Knowledge of the Data Protection Act and associated responsibilities;
- Excellent English communication skills both written and spoken;
- Good understanding of IT functions and their interaction;
- Ability to effectively communicate key process and technical aspects of role, and impact of wider function at all levels (Assistants, Senior Assistants, Managers, Senior Managers, Directors, Partners);
- Ability to create informative reports and present the findings at management level;
- Flexible in approach and delivery, with ability to translate business requirements through to successful implementation with demonstrable, measurable results;
- Ability to work autonomously and take initiative to resolve issues be anticipating, expecting and accommodating change relating to the service and role alike;
- Highly organised, methodical approach with excellent attention to detail;
- Ability to produce technology rich training and support materials in an innovative way;
- Experience in delivering training in a client focused training environment.
