A permanent EA to the CEO working for an Education Charity based in North London. Start date of April 2017.
Your new company
This Education focused charity which is dedicated to improving the health and well- being of the entire education sector. The charity is about a 10 minute walk from Highbury and Islington station and a 5 minute walk from Holloway Road underground
Your new role
It's a dual role of Executive Assistant to the CEO and Office Manager position for 30 hours per week. The post holder will be supporting the CEO who has a lot of competing demands on his time on a one to one capacity on a daily basis. The key EA duties include managing and maintaining the CEO's diary along with ensuring he is fully prepped for all meetings and engagements. Scheduling meeting with committees and direct reports is also an important part of the role. Other key aspects include travel bookings for the CEO ensuring the most cost effective and efficient route possible is used. Another very interesting part of the job is researching on behalf of the CEO for presentations and meetings. Finally you'll be dealing with his correspondence as well as meeting and greeting important visitors when required. Office management includes the management and maintenance of the facilities, property and IT service support contracts for the whole of the office
What you'll need to succeed
To be a success in the role you will need to use your initiative having considered and understood what is required, taking ownership of your work in order to achieve what you set out to do. With at least 2 years' experience of supporting at CEO level, you will need to demonstrate you can build rapport easily with people and communicate using discretion and diplomacy. The CEO will value your attention to detail, flexibility and strong verbal and written skills. The ideal candidate will worked in either an educational, charity or corporate setting. Finally you must be strong in all aspects of MS office and other packages.
