Leading international law firm is looking to hire a new PA to work part-time (3 days: Wednesday to Friday or 2 days: Thursday to Friday – dependent on the candidate’s preference) in their HR department with a view to getting involved directly on the HR side of things, so should you be keen to move in to HR then this could be the perfect role.  Applicants need to be bright, highly organised and be able to manage multiple, ever-changing, diaries.  Previous PA experience is a must, be it as a legal PA, non-legal PA from a law firm or an HR PA from a non-legal background.  You will be responsible for  providing a comprehensive, confidential and professional support service in all aspects concerned with the efficient and successful operation of the HR function and leadership team, taking an active interest in, and obtaining a thorough understanding of all aspects of the team’s requirements.  Duties will include managing diaries for assigned leadership team, currently four in the team, ensuring they are up to date and actively managed arranging meetings, booking conference rooms, refreshments, check rooms prior to meetings etc and liaise with other attendees, both internal and external - Attention to time zone variation and key stakeholders is critical.  You will be required to be proactive in managing the diary to ensure meeting rooms, webex’s and VC’s are operating as expected prior to any arranged meeting taking place, be proactive in ensuring any required printed materials or other preparations are ready prior to any meetings arranging for travel bookings (flights, hotels and transfers) and share confirmed details ahead of planned trips, arranging photocopying, printing, organising couriers, sending out of letters, faxes etc, assisting in keeping HR files on the DMS organised and tidy, using effective systems to ensure that both short and long term tasks are completed efficiently and ideally ahead of any agreed timescales/ deadlines, providing administrative support for activities managed by the People function, e.g. employee committee, counsel and local partner promotion process, upward feedback, etc.  You will be expected to form solid working relationships with the PA’s of key senior stakeholders, form solid working relationships with members of the People team at all levels, both in London and globally and become an active part in the support of colleagues arriving to the London office.  This firm is housed in stunning City offices a short walk from all mainline train stations in the City.
