A Business and IT consultancy is currently seeking a fast-learning, motivated, highly organised and detail driven individual to play an important role within the Bid Team. This is a fixed term role to cover maternity leave, which is designed to assist the Team in preparing responses to tender opportunities and in co-ordinating a variety of marketing-related activities. This role is paying up to £24,000.
The successful applicant will have strong organisational and administration skills, good writing skills, a methodical approach with good attention to detail, good IT skills, proven capability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines where necessary, and an outgoing temperament.
Principal Responsibilities
- Tracking and logging of new opportunities
- Updating and maintaining electronic portal registrations
- Assisting in the completion of PQQ and questionnaire responses, including gathering information, and assembling and formatting CVs and other bid materials
- Assisting with bid production and submission including formatting and editing, printing, binding and delivery or arranging delivery of final responses. This may include occasional travel within the UK to hand deliver bids
- Maintaining a Company-wide bid collateral system including written content, diagrams, staff and consultant CVs, client and project reference material, and other generic material
- Data quality assurance of bid opportunity entries to support accurate into pipeline reporting
- Marketing activities, including co-ordinating the production of an internal newsletter, researching and drafting case studies, assisting in events organisation, drafting and posting social media updates, and assisting in the production of marketing collateral and brochures
- Administrative tasks co-ordinating bid team meetings, booking meeting rooms and ordering business cards
- Acting as point of contact for colleagues across the company for bid and marketing related queries
- Where requested, contributing to company-wide projects where Bid Team input or representation is required
Experience, Knowledge, Qualifications and Training
Mandatory
- Excellent IT skills
- Good organisational and administration skills, with ability to multitask while retaining a strong attention to detail
- Confident, with an ability to work with colleagues at all levels
- Ability to work under pressure, delivering effectively against tight deadlines
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to produce clear, structured pieces of writing
- Flexible approach to work, with willingness to work outside of core hours when necessary
