Sales/B.D Strategy Manager within Education, 1 year FTC
Our client has an impressive remit to improve professionalism and standards in the Education and Training sector. The Foundation's central responsibility is to ensure learner's benefit from the development of a well-qualified, effective and up-to-date workforce supported by good leadership, management and governance.
What does the role consist of?
The Business Development Manager is a key role to develop and then be responsible for managing and implementing the sales strategy for commercial products and services, particularly membership, accreditation and training courses. This includes presenting and negotiating sales to colleges, training providers and employers, in particular membership of the Society for Education Training. You are responsible:
- to develop the sales strategy and processes and achieve targets
- to develop and implement their internal processes in order to grow pipeline of sales opportunities,
- develop and implement a lead generation plan to feed the sales pipeline and quality leads,
- the negotiate terms of sale with potential customers
- to use a consultative approach to explore customers training needs and to identify sales opportunities.
What will the successful candidate be like?
The successful candidate should have;
- degree level qualification or equivalent
- substantial experience working as a business development or sales manager with responsibility for planning sales strategies, processes and directing sales colleagues
- successful experience working in consultative sales in a charity or education context
- record of pitching and negotiating closing final sales agreements,
- experience in sales of training courses
- highly developed presentation, negotiation and relationship building skills
