Responsibilities
- Execute development, management, implementation and evaluation of grant-making programmes that align local priorities focussing on agenda to secure buy in and engagement from national and regional political leadership
- Conduct research to ensure both geographic and thematic expertise in labour market, employment and skills development is maintained and updated
- Provide updates, briefings and measurements to ensure stakeholders are informed
- Support the delivery of firm-wide initiatives
- Flag social, political and economic changes that may impact the firms local program/ reputation in relation to philanthropic activities
- Research to develop relationships and proposals with non-profit and NGO partners
- Manage the development, budgeting and approvals for grant making activities
- Manage on going work with non-profit partners to ensure work is delivered, monitored and measured
- Identify communication opportunities both written and verbal
- Collaborate with non-profit partners to plan and implement grant-related events according to target audience and objectives
- Manage grants through local, regional and corporate approvals processes
Requirements
- 3-5 years of grant-making/ international development experience
- Experience of active labour market policies/ skills development programmes/ small business support particularly in Southern Europe
- Knowledge of EU policies/institutions
- Ability to conduct research and analysis, and develop practical solutions
- Ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
- Self-motivated and ability to work in a team
- Good balance of communication, analytical, commercial and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational skills and detail oriented
- Capable of working under pressure and excellent time management
- Strong project management skills
- Proficient European language skills would be an advantage (Italian or Spanish preferred)
