PURPOSE

Assisting with the planning and development of the retail e-commerce side of the company. Improving the online shopping experience for our customers, increasing sales revenue and helping to facilitate online exposure of the brand.

KEY DUTIES / SPONSIBILITIES

  • Management of websites on a day-to-day basis, ensuring products, promotions and content are accurate and up to date
  • Ensure website is fully responsive with design and function for all devices
  • Daily monitoring of website performance, using website analytics to monitor KPI's and make recommendations for improvement
  • Define and implement regular website changes and functional improvements
  • Manage website configuration & parameters (eg payment options, stock management, shipping)
  • Ensuring stock management system is correctly operating in sync with retail website investigate and correct any operational/technical issues arising 
  • Supporting the digital content editor with implementing online editorial, e-mail marketing, social media and blog posts where necessary
  • Understand and develop sources of traffic to increase online audience: email, SEO, affiliates, social media, etc.
  • Produce reports to analyse the performance of all online marketing campaigns and promotions (via reports, analytics, surveys etc)
  • Evaluate approaches & strategies to improve website sales conversions & customer engagement

IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • Will have previous experience developing and managing retail customer websites
  • Will have exceptional IT skills and a practical knowledge of web technologies (HTML, SEO, CSS etc.)
  • Will have an excellent understanding of Google products such as Webmaster Tools and Google Analytics and Google Shop
  • Will have the ability to quickly pick up new web platforms – experience of Shopify and Brightpearl preferred but not essential
  • Will be confident with data management systems, and fully proficient in Excel
  • Must be used to working at a fast pace and under pressure.
  • Will have an in-depth, customer-focused knowledge of the online market
  • Will have a proven track record of delivering positive results to a retail website platform.
  • Will be meticulous and thorough, with an attention to detail
