THE ROLE:


 


An evolving role which will be responsible for helping deliver effective account management, increase revenue performance and deliver improved customer service


 
  • Work with your designated external regional BDE in order to create and deliver a pro-active new customer strategy within your region.
  • Office based, working to open new customer relationships and manage existing ones within both your scheme value limit and designated territory in harmony with your BDE to deliver both your individual & regional revenue target.
  • Effective management, development and education of customers within designated territory.
  • Achieve/Exceed all targets – financial or task based.
  • Work effectively with designated CS regional buddy to ensure that incoming client proposal forms are processed efficiently in line within established timescales.
  • Maintain good relationships with all internal and external customers.
  • Be able to receive new quotes, and negotiate premium with the customer, in conjunction with feedback and guidance from the Team
  • To source and disseminate market intelligence.
  • Through using our internal CRM database system in the most part, the candidate would be responsible for identifying and targeting cold leads together with highlighting lapsed historic business.
  • Deliver proactive, targeted, business development calls into potential clients and identify current and future potential opportunities within the leads generated via the monthly regional campaigns using the Glenigan project lead system.
  • These ‘hot’ leads would then be contacted and progressed to the point of arranging specific meetings for the BDE’s or passed to the respective BDE to arrange the appointment themselves depending on the agreed regional strategic plan.
  • This opportunity pipeline would be maintained and developed in a continuous manner over time.
  • The role is one which is viewed as key to ensuring high levels of regional revenue delivery.
 


THE PERSON:


 
  • Demonstrable track record in delivering against both sales and administrative SMART objectives. Relevant experience of support working with BDE’s and ownership and delivery against KPI’s.
  • Experience of working in both a proactive and a reactive environment with changing priorities.
  • IT literacy including MS Office (MS CRM would also be advantageous).
  • Strong time organisation skills are vital (the ability to balance client centricity, BDE evolving priorities & and own KPI’s will be key).
  • Will have a confident telephone manner, strong written English & excellent communication skills.
  • Experience of cleansing database information, identifying potential targets, cold calling, pipeline management and winning new business in any environment.
  • Comfortable assuming the ownership and accountability for own & aspects of the BDE’s workloads.
  • Realising that there will be intense periods of working under pressure often to tight service level agreements and also a need in time balancing of high work load levels together with the balancing of changing BDE priority requests for action.
  • Although full support & training will be provided, the individual should be a quick learner, able to convey complex/technical information (once up to speed) and at times able to work outside of their own natural comfort zone.
