Housekeeper

Private household Housekeeper role – South Kensington !!!!

My client is looking to recruit a Housekeeper to work at her private family home in South Kensington. Ideally to start asap.

Working alongside a well- established Housekeeper, this position covers Monday to Friday working in a shift pattern shared with the other Housekeeper.  9am to 6pm one week and 12pm to 10pm the following.

This is a semi- formal household with a uniform provided, looking after the apartment of the Principal and her Husband who are always in residence, as well as a second apartment which is connected and used by the wider family on occasion. The first apartment has two bedrooms and the second four bedrooms. When both apartments are in use, it can be very busy!

The main duties are to keep the apartments spotless, look after laundry, keep the closets well organised and neat, assist with travel packing, ideally provide some very light cooking (such as getting breakfast ready) as well as ‘muck in’ with other requests when required. 

Candidates must have experience of working in a private household, understand discretion, be professional and friendly (also knowing when to be invisible), unflappable and most importantly flexible. 

The Housekeepers are managed by the Butler who has been with the family eight years.
