Part-time HR Consultant, Oxford Circus

Our client is an independent organisation and are one of the largest providers of continuing medical education in the UK. They provide accredited courses for continuing professional development, which is so vital in allowing doctors, dentists, veterinary surgeons and other healthcare professionals their continuing freedom to practise.

 

Key Duties

This is a role to work part-time (4 full days) in a stand-alone small team to provide advice, guidance and administration support on a day to day basis on non-management level HR related matters. You will be contributing towards an engaging working environment to support the business' objectives and values

  • developing good working relationships with key management and stakeholders and establish themselves as a reliable source of HR advice to improve conduct performance or attendance where needed
  • delivery of management training to managers and input into its design and update of current workshops
  • delivery of non-management staff induction programme
  • provide advice to managers with issues such as grievances and dismissals
  • production of offers, contractual changes and administration of changes for monthly payroll for non-management staff

 

Key Skills

  • A CIPD qualification or have equivalent experience
  • significant proven experience of providing effective HR support/advice on all Employee Relations aspects of HR including conduct, performance, capability, attendance aspects, resolving complaints, recent experience of using competency based interview
  • experience of delivery of Stand up training on HR related topics
  • excellent knowledge of current UK employment law, ACAS code of practice and experience of its application in provision of advice on related matters,
  • experience of working within a fast paced, customer focused HR environment and within a team and working on own initiative and making decisions.
