About:
Working with the HR Advisor and HR Manager to provide an effective and efficient administrative and HR support service to this dynamic and fast growing legal advisory firm.
Training & Development
- Assisting with the administration of probation process for all new starters.
- Administration of training and examination records.
- Administration of the qualification table and charge out table for newly qualified and part qualified fee earners.
- Assisting with preparation of Induction Day.
Payroll
- Maintaining the payroll sickness spreadsheet.
Recruitment & Selection
- Updating the vacancies page of the website.
- Administration of the recruitment mailbox, responding to speculative applications in accordance with current vacancies.
- Administration of the graduate recruitment process.
- Assisting with recruitment and selection process.
Employee Relations
- Assist with producing ad hoc policies and procedures.
- Assisting with updating Staff Handbook twice a year in line with government legislation changes
General HR Administration
- Assisting and supporting the HR Manager.
- Administration of Joiners and Leavers process and supporting new joiners.
- Monitoring sickness and absence records.
- Administration of maternity process.
- Administration and maintenance of holidays.
- Updating the Firm’s headcount statistics spreadsheet.
- Updating the Personnel Manager software system
- Conducting risk assessments and DSE assessments as required.
- Ensuring personnel files are kept up to date.
- Preparation of regular and ad hoc reports as required
The successful candidate for the position will be:
- Confident, ‘on the ball’ individual with a ‘can do’ attitude.
- Ability to lead and work as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, at all levels.
- An awareness of the need to prioritise work and manage time effectively.
- An awareness of the need to multi-task and forward plan.
- Flexible individual who has a sense of humour.
- Good general IT literacy and the ability to learn new systems.
- Good customer service skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent organisational and administrative ability.
- Sound knowledge of MS Word for Windows & Excel.
