Financial Controller - Financial Services - Salisbury

Our client, a global Financial Services company based in Salisbury, are looking for an experienced Financial Controller due to business expansion. With full accountability for the finance function, this key management role will be hands on but integral to an ambitious growth strategy for the business.

The Role

• Reporting directly to the on-site Managing Director for the company, with a reporting line to group finance of the wider group
  
  
  
• Full accountability for the finance function for the company and a smaller subsidiary, to include the full management and statutory accounting remit, VAT, taxation, cash management, audit, forecasting and budgeting
  
  
  
• Leading and developing a small finance team
  
  
  
• Proactive contributor to the management team and the board in relation to the strategic development of the business and the continuous improvement of performance
  
  
  
• Development of KPI’s and MI for the business, including leadership of the development of the operational back office system
  
  
  
• Development of appropriate financial controls, processes and policies
  
  
  

The Person

• A qualified accountant with a minimum of 5 years post qualification experience
  
  
  
• Prior senior level SME experience
  
  
  
• Recent experience gained in a professional services environment
  
  
  
• Strong team player with effective communication skills
  
  
  
• Prior experience in the development of an ERP desirable
