Database Coordinator - Part time

A global risk consultancy with an international reputation for excellence with their clients is seeking a part time database coordinator with a passion for detail who is motivated by ensuring accuracy and effective data management.

You are used to working with multiple different databases and want to understand how they work, their functionality and ensure they are being used to their full potential.

Duties will include:

• Training people on different systems including producing user manuals and search support.
• Testing new products or updates ensuring feasibility for all users
• Maintaining SharePoint as a reference guide, so ideally a working knowledge of this
• Working with vendor providers (up to 50 different ones!) to ensure best negotiated prices
• Working towards centralising the access to all databases
• Setting up a way of tracking usage to charge back to individual clients
• Reporting on usage for each database is regularly reviewed to ensure they are fit for purpose
• Acting as a trouble-shooter for anything database related

A qualification in information management or librarianship would be highly desirable as would liaising with suppliers and negotiating contracts. You enjoy working to deadlines and working under pressure when juggling multiple demands. You enjoy working with people and supporting their training, so patience will be key! You are analytical by nature and are currently in a role that involves extensive work with databases.
