We are looking for an energetic, organised, and proactive Office Manager who is passionate about customer service to join the leadership team at our Lindamood-Bell Learning Centre. Our Office Managers have a direct impact on the success of the Learning Centre. They are responsible for overseeing all aspects of office operations (including account management, scheduling, and project management). They are active members of our Sales teams, participating in the organisation and execution of marketing efforts. They develop relationships with our students and parents, modeling the Lindamood-Bell culture of friendly customer service in a warm and welcoming matter.

Ideal candidates will be able to work independently and will demonstrate the ability to quickly learn our organisational structure and company objectives. They must be professional, organised, and adept at clear communication. We are looking for individuals who are comfortable routinely thinking two to three steps ahead, anticipating issues and solutions, demonstrating flexibility as they prioritise the needs of the Learning Centre.

Qualifications:

  • A-levels, or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a fast-paced office environment
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to work effectively in an environment of fluid, at time competing, priorities, and independently problem solve
  • Prior experience handling complex calendaring and scheduling for staff and students
  • Reliable, flexible, and professional, with an aptitude for consistently positive interactions with others, including students, parents, and colleagues
  • Exceptional people skills—strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills are a must
  • Passion for education coupled with a desire to work in an environment with children and families
  • Meet Lindamood-Bell requirements for language skills and clerical ability including spelling, reading comprehension, and computer literacy

Responsibilities:

            Manage and respond to the operational needs of the Learning Centre:

  • Serve as contact person for prospective and established students, parents, and employees for all questions about Lindamood-Bell operations, including scheduling, accounts, and billing procedures
  • Help create, update, and maintain schedules for students and employees, clearly communicating changes
  • Manage Accounts Receivable: invoices, payments, and bank deposits
  • Complete accurate monthly payroll
  • Oversee and maintain the appearance of the Learning Centre and its technology
  • Oversee and organise all safety procedures
  • Process client and employee documentation
  • Communicate with company headquarter-based supervisors and departments regarding Learning Centre or requests from the company’s headquarters
  • Organise screening and interviewing of potential employees
  • Promote a strong team culture within the Learning Centre

Contribute as an active member of the Learning Centre’s Sales Team:

 

  • Answer phones, providing general information about Lindamood-Bell’s services
  • Schedule and maintain appointments for the Centre Director and Associate Centre Director
  • Organise and help carry out details for marketing events
  • Provide clear explanations of enrolment information, working with clients to find unique solutions to overcome roadblocks to instructions
