Temporary Finance & Administrative Officer - £14.41 per hour - Central London

The company

Our client is a very prestigious office, supporting the See House Team and property manager. The offices are based in Central London. A small, friendly but busy office you will have the opportunity to work in a unique environment as part of a close-knit team. The post will run until the end of July 2017.

The job:

You will be working closely with the Team Managers and other staff at all levels within the organisation including HR, Clergy Pay and Accounts Department. This will include:

  • Managing telephone/email enquiries and correspondence including co-ordination of responses where more than one person in the office is involved
  • Managing and producing reports and correspondence
  • Maintenance of databases
  • Ensuring that paper filling systems are maintained correctly liaising with colleagues as and when appropriate; this will include: paper filling, filling of deed when required, setting up new files, archiving and retrieving files from the record centre
  • Making arrangements for meeting s, including booking rooms and catering
  • Making travel and visit arrangements
  • Circulating daily correspondence and weekly newspapers
  • Minute taking in meetings
  • Working with the relevant property manager to set up purchase orders and framework orders for works liaising with contractors
  • Logging in receipts of all invoices and passing them back to the property manager for authorisation
  • Batching and coding all invoices for submission by email to the accounts payable department
  • Administer incoming payments relating to the team
  • Making sure you run quarterly update reports from SAP and assist with distribution
  • Setting-up purchase orders on SAP for approval and process invoices for payment
  • Maintaining client records
  • Preparing quarterly P46 reports
  • Supporting the team and any admin duties they might arise.

About you:

  • Experience of working with accounting and finance software, such as SAP, Oracle or SunAccounts
  • Awareness of and interest in national and international politics/societal issues
  • Strong Microsoft experience and word processing skills
  • A strong sense of responsibility; well organised
  • Previous experience in working within a busy office environment
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • A self starter, ability to work calmly under pressure and to adapt plans quickly when needed
  • Numerical skills and ability to master the use of SAP financial system
  • Flexible to work outside regular working hours if needed
