My client specialises in building and project consultancy within London and the UK. They are experts in all aspects of building surveying, project management, and cost consultancy.  They are an independent business, employing around 90 people in total. The role:
Due to continual growth, my client is now seeking to employ a Senior Accounts Assistant to work alongside two other Accounts Assistants and support the Management Accountant.  

Main duties and responsibilities:

• Posting of credit card transactions on a weekly basis
• Supervision of supplier payment runs
• Posting of cash expenses on a monthly basis
• Daily banking duties, posting and reconciling
• Assist with month end tasks as required
• Download credit card transaction information and request details from credit card holders on a weekly basis
• Follow up credit card holders for transaction information if not received as per deadlines
• Ensure all credit & cash expenses are authorised by relevant personnel
• Ad hoc duties as and when required.

The person:

• A key aspect of the role is building relationships across the business, with the surveyors as well as within the Finance Team so you must have good communication skills
• Degree educated (or equivalent)
• Previous experience within a purchase ledger role, particularly in posting credit card transactions and cash expenses
• Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel
• Proficiency in accounting software (experience of Sage is desirable)
• Confident and outgoing personality
• Excellent people skills, with ability to build relationships with clients
