My client is a leading firm based at London Bridge. Responsibilities

  • A significant amount of diary management for all fee earners.
  • Produce correspondence and documents via copy or audio typing using BigHand
  • Managing the administration of the billing process
  • Proof reading to ensure all documents produced are accurate and correctly presented.
  • Manage and filter telephone calls from clients on behalf of the team, taking detailed messages and assisting where appropriate.
  • Amending documents using track changes and incorporating documents in to House Style.
  • Using initiative to take responsibility of administration that will assist fee earners e.g. credit control, practice development.
  • Receive and transmit information via email, memos, and reports, electronically and manually.
  • Data management - maintain up to date files of all correspondence and other documents, filing daily.
  • Produce and supply billing guides from data retrieved from the Firm’s management system.
  • Acting as the key contact point for fee-earners both internally and externally.
  • Creating Bibles/bundles.
  • Drafting correspondence.

Essential Qualities:

  • Experience in a demanding, fast-paced, legal environment, in a secretarial capacity.
  • Experience of working within a Corporate department (both contentious and non-contentious)
  • Typing speed of 70wpm+ and with a very high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to produce accurate, correctly presented documents.
  • Strong diary management experience.
  • Experience in owning the administration of the billing process.
  • Advanced Outlook and Word skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Excellent organisational skills and time-management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
