Legal Secretary - Litigation - Wimbledon
Salary to £31,000 + Benefits!
My client is a top 100, Wimbledon based law firm with highly-regarded specialist solicitors and lawyers. We advise a mix of commercial, not-for-profit, regulatory and personal clients. Many of their lawyers are leaders in their fields in London or nationally, winning peer-group accolades.
Their breadth of expertise means they can tackle complex multi-dimensional cases that are beyond the scope of many other firms.
This truly is a full 360 degrees secretarial role whereby my client encourages their secretaries to have a working relationship with their fee earner's clients and very much work alongside their fee earner.
The Role
*Strong organisational and time management skills to facilitate the efficient administration of multiple documents, whilst working to strict deadlines.
*Excellent interpersonal and communications skills and able to provide high levels of client service.
*Attention to detail, speed and accuracy.
*Strong literacy and spelling ability.
*A team player and willingness to contribute to the success of the team/department.
*Proactive and supportive, responding well to challenges and providing excellent client service at all times.
*Assisting the partners to ensure effective control and supervision over taking on of new clients and matters.
*Assisting the partners with management of client billing and credit control.
*Assisting the partners to ensure effective supervision, file reviews and matter management.
*Managing new client enquiries both on the telephone and in person and recording these on the department's new enquiry spreadsheet.
*Diarising and following up on client enquiries and providing the relevant information to the client.
Client relationships
*To provide excellent support to fee earners in their development of relationships with clients by being able to draft friendly and enthusiastic communications with clients and to maintain accurate client contact details.
*Advanced use of Microsoft Outlook, specifically fee earner diary management and travel arrangements, meeting room and car parking bookings, and professional support in fee earner communications with clients.
*Proactive and knowledgeable approach in respect of all new work enquiries.
*Assistance in preparing fee earners for client meetings through availability of relevant files and documents.
