Our client, an established company within the Financial Services arena, are looking for an External Account Manager who has experience of expanding existing business and holds a clean driving licence. This is a brilliant opportunity to join a sociable team within a progressive global company.
The Role
- Increase revenue within acquiring channel by winning new business opportunities and managing entire sales process in collaboration with channel team from prospecting, sales & negotiating through to contract closure.
- Responsible for generating own leads and proactively following those leads to grow the business profitably.
- Effective maintenance and development of existing sales pipeline, ensuring opportunities are actively pursued and any churn is recognised early and effective remedial action is promptly taken.
- Work consultatively with merchant targets to ensure customer is confident in ability to deliver and to meet their requirements.
- Ability to understand, sell & adapt product offering to relevant audience at the same time as ensuring the business can deliver to expectations.
- Conduct ongoing analysis of markets and competitors to ensure products stay ahead of market demand and competitors.
- Establish an acute knowledge of competitive pricing and service/product offerings to ensure an acceptable win rate at acceptable margins.
- Work closely with Head Office to ensure comprehensive account and market penetration and growth plans are clearly defined.
- Provide clear and timely reporting on pipeline and sales progress, maintaining accurate records to ensure company and contact information is up to date at all times, documenting all sales calls, customer visits and business opportunities in Oracle CRM.
The Person
- A successful track record ideally in the payments industry with a demonstrable history of consistent over achievement.
- A proven sales track record of presenting, influencing and negotiating at a Corporate level
- Excellent knowledge of MS-Office suite of products.
- Experience of banking and credit card payments industry is an advantage
- Experienced in using CRM tools, Oracle CRM is a plus.
- Hold a full, clean driving licence.
