Your new company
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and conscientious individual to join a Shrewbsury based organisation on a temporary basis to cover maternity leave. You will contribute to the smooth and efficient running of the department and the successful delivery of professional customer focused services by providing a responsive and supportive administrative service to the Legal team.

Your new role
This new role is varied and exciting and duties will include:

 

  • Assist in the timely preparation of papers for Board, Committee and Senate meetings;
  • Assist in the arrangement and preparation of meetings including room preparation and ordering of refreshments;
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and files for the Legal team using manual and computerised systems; input data into databases; ensure the security and confidentiality of all data;
  • Assist in maintaining relevant sections of the Company's website and intranet;
  • Receive and respond to routine written and telephone enquiries, ensuring that all agreed standards for responsiveness are met to deliver the best possible level of customer satisfaction;
  • Draft routine correspondence and reports, and take minutes at meetings, as required;
  • Carry out all initial checks on receipt of Right to Buy applications;
  • Use the Tidee system and Terrier Plans to reply to non-complex boundary queries and provide to-scale plans;
  • Monitor the progress of complaint handling, chasing up where necessary.
  • Assist in logging insurance claims, replying to basic enquiries and producing reports as required;
  • Provide support in housing management cases, compiling papers for court use and assisting in the preparation of legal documents;
  • Provide efficient administrative support for the legal team and others as required liaising with team members and Managers, booking training courses, conveyancing, despatching, progress chasing and collating documentation as required;
  • Establish, develop and maintain effective working relationships with all work colleagues and customers to ensure an integrated contribution to Company objectives;
  • Work positively to suggest and deliver quality improvements in your area of work;
  • Respect confidentiality and data security at all times;

Good organisational, telephone and inter-personal skills are essential coupled with the ability to remain calm and focused under pressure, whilst maintaining excellent attention to detail. This role would suit a reliable, confident individual with the ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.
