Document Controller 30K - 35K
Experienced Document Controller wanted to work for global construction company based in London. With over 500 people on site they are looking for someone to join there already established team. If you have experienced within, construction, engineering or architecture then this would be an excellent step in your career!
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide the project team with all required documentation, drawings or reports as and when requested.
Distribute documentation as agreed with the project team, setting up matrixes in agreement with the Senior Construction Manager/ Senior Project Manager.
Attend the contract kick-off meetings and visit the site on a regular basis.
Provide advice for improvement of the company Document Control systems; keeping up to date with Construction terminology and abbreviations.
Deliver effective training solutions to the Project Team, applying Asite knowledge to ensure Document Control procedures are executed.
Liaise and work with the Project Team, applying their document control knowledge to all matters relating to the Construction process.
Must have a full understanding of the companies Document Management application.
Must be well versed in all sections of the Procedures Manual relating to Document Control, along with a good working knowledge of all other CWCL procedures.
Carry out any other reasonable duties as requested by the Senior Project Manager and/or Document Control Manager.
PERSON
Document Control experience in either the Construction and/or Design sectors.
Experience in Document Control Management Software is desirable
Be able to demonstrate past experience of the delivery of effective training on a one-to-one and group basis. It is essential that the successful applicant possess competencies (presentation, procedure writing) to enable them to deliver effective training solutions.
Positive and helpful attitude is essential, as is a strong customer service orientation.
Ability to prioritise and schedule a constant work flow.
Intermediate IT skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office Packages, particularly Word and Excel. Good numeracy skills are required.
Ability to represent Document Control issues at team meetings, and promote Document Control requirements competently and with tact.
