Project Manager x2  LEEDS

The Company
Our client, a global asset management company based in Leeds are looking for two Project Managers who have gained experience project managing within Financial Services. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well established company who offer longevity and career enhancement.

The Role
  • Project initiation and definition of required deliverable and governance models
  • Planning across all stages of the project lifecycle and obtaining appropriate levels of sign-off
  • Ensuring projects are delivered to agreed time, cost, quality, TCF, Conduct Risk and compliance objectives
  • Management of the project on a day to day basis to deliver in line with agreed project plans
  • Management of third parties to ensure successful delivery
  • Execution of project plan, monitoring progress and taking all necessary actions and escalations where appropriate
  • Reporting progress at agreed intervals to the Project Review Board
  • Engaging and communicating effectively with key business and client stakeholders
  • Risk identification, documentation and impact assessment, including action mitigation and management
  • Issue and dependency management with appropriate stakeholder communication
  • Provision of accurate project and financial status updates
  • Identifying potential improvements as part of a wider Project Management Competency
  • Working in accordance with group policies, client and regulatory requirements and operational frameworks
  • Completing Project Closure ensuring all lessons learnt are documented and appropriate actions assigned to prevent reoccurrenc
  • Take on Programme level responsibilities as and when required
  • Mentoring  and coaching less experienced project managers within the team

 


The Person
Essential

  • Proven project management track record in a delivery environment
  • Demonstrate effective and productive stakeholder management both internally at all levels and with 3rd parties
  • Must be able to lead, motivate and manage cross functional, multi-disciplined teams
  • Builds productive relationships with functions and third parties outside of the project team
  • Operate effectively in a commercial environment
  • Apply a flexible approach to successfully deliver to tight deadlines or changing scope
  • Ability to prioritise and multi task in a challenging working environment with excellent organisational skills
  • Strong influencing skills and an ability to apply an appropriate level of challenge
  • A professional approach and manner with an aptitude to learn
  • A team player – contributor – takes pride in helping the team to deliver
  • Ability to demonstrate strong customer focus and communicate in business language
  • Experience of working with business customers and technical delivery resources (including 3rd party suppliers)
  • Practitioner in Project Management – Prince 2 or industry standard equivalent qualification
 Desirable
  • Experience working within an outsourcing environment
  • Experience in delivering regulatory projects
  • Experience either in the delivery of and or working with SAP, Crest, Calestone, Pega Document Management,  EMX, Web Services
  • Relevant Collective Investment / Transfer Agency qualification such as the Investment Operations Certificate (IOC) or equivalent
  • Proficient in MS Office applications including but not limited to, MS Project, VISO,
