THE COMPANY:

Our client is a European renowned industrial developer and investor working across various countries but based HQ in the UK. They are currently looking for a HR Director, with extensive Senior Team Management experience for a 12 month FTC. Candidates must have a flexible approach and ability to work in a team.

THE ROLE:
Reporting to the CEO this role will be working in partnership with the Global Head of HR ensuring policies and strategies are kept updated. Working with the Senior team to assist with Change management, looking at the company learning and development programme and improvements and working with the European offices to assist with changes and project management.

Job duties will include numerous responsibilities in the following areas;

Employment Relations
  • Demonstrate and promote company values
  • Relay relevant information to the teams following the Senior Team Meetings
  • Provide advice and guidance to managers on the application of legislation in the relevant jurisdiction.
  • Work in partnership with managers supporting best practice processes and ensuring legislative requirements are met including coaching and developing the management team.
  • Ensure all employee relations matters are resolved effectively.
  • Creating a rewarding work environment, listening and supporting the development of each colleague.
  • Promoting and encouraging integration and collaboration between business units to improve performance.
 Recruitment
  • Overseeing and managing all recruitment by fully supporting Regional Directors from advert to short listing and testing of candidates and expertise stage for all manager and above roles.
  • Participate in the selection process and ensure compliance with company and legal standards.
Remuneration and Benefits
  • Manage the performance and development management programme
  • Develop and implement pay and benefits that are market driven/competitive, and which ensure consistent application of reward policy upon appointment, promotion etc.
  • Proactively manage the annual salary and bonus cycle.
Learning and Development
  • Influencing an environment focusing on development of colleagues and activities for colleagues.
  • Working closely with Regional Directors to identify training needs, analysing and developing the appropriate solutions to develp individuals.
  • Support and deliver leadership development for senior managers.
  • Manage succession planning including the action plans for each colleague.
HR Administration
  • Provide generalist HR support to managers and colleagues on day-to-day issues.
  • Foster and maintain relationships with regional labour lawyers, HR and payroll service providers.
  • Oversee monthly payroll with the administration and coordination by HR assistant.
  • Manage and develop HR Assistant.
HR Projects
  • Manage the development and delivery of specific HR initiatives and projects and required by the business.

Reporting
  • Bio weekly reporting to CEO, monthly Senior Team Meeting Participation.

THE PERSON:
 
10 years plus experience

CIPD Qualified

Commercially minded

Experience gained across a range of industries in the UK, France and Germany

Knowledge of working with a fund owned business

Creative thinking

Teamwork and collaboration

Communication and context

Resilience and courage

Experience in Learning and development would be advantageous but not essential.
