Executive Assistant within Higher Education, 6 month FTC, £25-30k, Fitzrovia

Our client is a successful and fantastic central college of offers undergraduate and postgraduate study programs. With an intake of both domestic and international students, this is a busy hub of student activity, creative learning and a positive academic environment.

 

What you will be doing

The E.A position will be to support the Head of Quality Assurance. You will be providing administrative support including, but not limited to -

  • Maintaining and updating records of policies.
  • Administrative duties, including version control of documentation, coordinating the production of handbooks, programme specifications and course descriptions, and coordinating current programme and course modifications.
  • Administrative duties on student engagement activities, including termly Student-Staff Liaison Committee meetings, online student surveys and any external surveys, as well as preparing analyses.
  • Assisting with institutional approval events and programme validation events; and administrative support with on-going annual validation and review processes with the College's collaborative partners.
  • Maintaining all records of minutes of meetings and all other departmental documentation and ensuring quick and easy access to all relevant documentation both for internal and external use.
  • General administrative duties to include, minute taking, diary management, coordinating internal and external meetings, assistance on presentation prep, room and travel arrangements etc.

 

What they are looking for

The ideal candidate will have

  • Experience of committee servicing
  • Experience in an administrative/supporting role in a Higher Education institution
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to work with staff at all levels, including senior academic colleagues
  • Excellent report and minute writing skills
  • Ability to display discretion, particularly when handling confidential documents

This role would suit someone who is confident, assertive and outgoing who has previous experience in diary management and administrative duties.
