Our client a world-renowned Museum based in central London requires an Exhibitions Assistant to start ASAP. This is a temporary role until the end of February with the possibility of being extended.

The main duties are:

  • Provide general support functions to the Department and to exhibition project teams, as required.
  • Provide key support to the Head of Exhibitions. Includes diary co-ordination, message management, correspondence, filing, presenting information, minute taking, visitor hospitality, travel arrangements.
  • Act as liaison with exhibition stakeholders, designers and suppliers on behalf of the Department. Includes on-site support in the installation and dismantling of exhibitions.
  • Assist in dealing with internal and external enquiries to the Department.
  • Assist in maintaining departmental records, files and archives.
  • Other duties, as required.

The successful candidate will have previous office experience working as part of an office team and have some PA/secretarial experience. You need to have excellent communication skills both written and spoken, have a calm, professional approach when dealing with staff, external contacts and the public. You need to be able to prioritise a busy workload and manage multiple deadlines in a changing environment while maintaining standards. You need to have strong attention to detail, ability to apply common sense, show initiative and have good knowledge of all Microsoft packages.
