My client is a large Regulatory/Trade Representative body based in Central London. I am looking for a Membership Officer to cover a trade section in terms of engagement and support of membership recruitment. This is a new role that is contributing to and exciting time for this proactive and commercial orientated body.

THE ROLE:

  • With support from the Senior Manager, oversee the development and management of the light trailer section
  • Work with Senior Manager and Section Managers to implement and develop strategies to increase engagement with all section members and sector
  • To provide account management including regular visits to sections members to ensure we maximise member satisfaction
  • To support the delivery of growth targets of the section with a focus on engagement.
  • Coordinate and implement both internal and external communication strategies within the wider member community, feeding back key themes to the senior section manager and other key stakeholders for continuous improvement, for any section.
  • Deliver value to members through the continuous engagement of the various section members, building and nurturing key relationships and ensuring member retention, delivering to key targets
  • Plan, support and carry out activities to raise the profile of the company within the wider member community.
  • Represent the interests of the wider member community fairly and appropriately at all times.
  • Help define, deliver and implement strategy to promote company products and services including events to section members, ensuring members benefit from all relevant opportunities, and ensuring that the co-ordination and administration of such events is delivered to a high standard
  • Carry out activities to help ensure greater coordination and collaboration with colleagues on relevant issues, especially with Communications and International teams
  • Represent the company at events including presenting on key issues impacting section members
  • Achieve targets set relative to the above
  • Support other projects as required.
 
THE PERSON:

  • Education to degree level
  • Experience contributing to and supporting existing strategies, projects and services
  • Experience of account management including management of large organisations
  • Experience in supporting the development and roll out of new strategies, projects and services
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent organisational, time management and administrative skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills - confident, articulate with a persuasive manner
  • A positive, confident, professional and enthusiastic approach to team working
  • Methodical and focused on delivering to defined objectives with specific timelines
  • Able to represent brand to all internal and external stakeholders
  • Flexible, adaptable and able to work to own initiative
  • Computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint
