My client is a large Regulatory/Trade Representative body based in Central London. I am looking for a Membership Executive to cover a trade section in terms of engagement and support of membership recruitment. This is a new role that is contributing to and exciting time for this proactive and commercial orientated body.

Salary - £60k plus excellent benefit package

 
The Role:

  • To manage regional engagement strategy helping to raise company profile and presence and ensuring a strong network within the regions.
  • To manage regional engagement team ensuring local deployment of initiatives, products, services and events as well as implementation of membership retention and recruitment activities.
  • To profile each region and create a comprehensive list of local issues, helping develop regional engagement campaigns and generating ideas for products and services
  • Ensure active and wide engagement internally and external member organisations – helping to establish a many to many relationship within each company (ensuring numerous senior active contacts within each organisation).
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with regional automotive companies and key members offering first class account management and ensuring we maximise member satisfaction.
  • Actively and methodically prospect for new members and achieve membership growth against annual targets.
  • Working closely with colleagues (especially Policy and Communications) ensure key messages and policy initiatives are communicated within the regions and help generate dialogue and engagement on the key issues.
  • Arrange regular visits to member and prospective members and conduct meetings with key personnel responsible for interaction.
  • Maximise members’ usage of products and services including participation in relevant committees, project groups and events.
  • Working closely with Section Managers, help develop section priorities based on regional knowledge and support any follow up actions – with the aim of developing and growing each community.
  • Support the development and delivery of member services events ensuring strong industry participation whilst also supporting membership retention and recruitment efforts.
  • Attend and represent company at meetings and help raise profile by speaking at key events


The Person

  • Honours Degree or equivalent
  • Experience of successfully managing a team
  • Experience as a project manager
  • Experience of account management including management of large corporate accounts
  • Experience of developing and executing engagement campaigns
  • Experience of working in the automotive sector with a understanding of the automotive manufacturing environment
  • Excellent communication skills – written and oral; including public speaking
  • Excellent interpersonal skills - confident, articulate with a persuasive manner
  • Highly motivated and target orientated with clear focus on high quality, customer satisfaction and business profit
  • Must be confident and credible in dealing with senior executives of large corporate organisations.
  • Creative and innovative with the ability to work under pressure and meet targets – able to step up to the challenge when required
  • Able to understand a wide range of business issues and metrics as well as basic business finance
  • Very competent writer of business letters, quotations and proposals
  • Have a positive and enthusiastic approach to team-working with a strong sense of shared objectives and common goals
  • Must be diplomatic and tactful
  • Well presented and businesslike
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Internet.
  • Flexibility, willingness to learn, be involved and adap
  • Ability to multi-talk and work effectively on different projects and campaigns
  • Sufficiently mobile and flexible to travel
  • Must have clean or near clean driving licence
