This is a new role for an UHNW family, requiring candidates with highly developed management skills to oversee and motivate existing staff members with tact and diplomacy, as well as recruiting and training new members to the team.  The family’s main residence is in London as all of their children go to school here, but they also travel a great deal. There are 3 children permanently living in the house.

The family have a Driver, 2 Housekeepers, Governess and Nannies and in addition, will be looking to hire a Chef, an additional Driver and 2 more Housekeepers.

 

Hours:                  Full-time position, 5-6 days a week with flexible working hours when family is away

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • To be the main point of contact for any residents or visitors to the property, and to ensure that any assistance required is provided in a timely fashion.
  • To manage all visits from any suppliers and contractors necessary for the running and maintenance of the property. To include scheduling any necessary visits for convenient times wherever possible, supervision of any contractors while in attendance, and ensuing minimum disruption for the family while they are in residence.
  • The management of all staff employed at the property. Organisation of all staff rotas. Ensuring all staff carry out their duties to the best of their abilities. Overall supervision of all HR matters, including payroll, contracts, and any disciplinary issues.
  • The provision of hosting duties for any formal entertaining or when guests are expected at the property. Training of other staff to provide correct levels of service when required.
  • Supervision of the housekeeping team in maintaining and caring for all wardrobe items, ensuring all items are stored correctly and professionally dry-cleaned where necessary.
  • Acting as a personal assistant for any member of the family as required, where necessary working with any appointed concierge service or travel agent to ensure that all requests are dealt with quickly and efficiently.
  • The organisation of all daily logistics for all family members, managing the daily schedule and liaising with drivers, schools, tutors etc. to ensure that all commitments are made in a timely manner.
  • The keeping accurate records of any property related expenses. Managing the household budget, ensuring all bills and invoices are processed and paid on time. Responsibility for a petty cash float for the property, and ensuring any staff-incurred expenses are accurately logged and accounted for.
  • The overseeing of all security procedures for the property. Working with the appointed security firm to ensure the property, its occupants and its contents are safely guarded at all times.
  • Working with the drivers to ensure any vehicles owned by the Employer are regularly maintained and serviced. Supervision of any vehicle-related admin, such as the payment of road tax and congestion charges.
  • Working with the chef to ensure that all necessary food and beverage items are procured as required.
  • To ensure that the property is stocked with all necessary items to facilitate the smooth day-to-day running of the property as a family home.
  • Organising tutors and extracurricular activities for all children in the family and interacting with schools as a family representative.

In addition, the Employer may require you to help them with any other reasonable duties that the Employer may discuss with you from time to time. 

You will be required to keep the Employer informed on a regular basis of activities, progress and other relevant information.
