Compliance Analyst for Media Rights Company

A hugely successful Media Rights Company are looking for a Compliance Analyst to start immediately.  They need someone who can multi-task, be extremely organised, remain calm under pressure, communicate clearly and have a real eye for detail. Working with the Legal and Compliance teams, you'll be doing research, producing reports and keeping information feeding through the pipeline. There is no need to have compliance experience or to come from a legal background but any experience will of course be useful.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct methodical and meticulous searches on individuals and entities using due diligence search engines, including Dow Jones Factiva and World Check
• Analyse the results of such searches and identify potential red flags / matters for internal risk assessment.
• Report findings (both orally and in writing) to designated members of the Group Legal team.
• Monitor existing business relationships to ensure continued compliance with all applicable laws.
• Maintain meticulous hard and soft copy due diligence records.
• On occasion, provide cover for other legal administrative or support personnel (if such personnel are absent due to holiday or illness).

Desired Skills :

• Relevant IT skills and research experience using databases.
• Ability to conduct methodical and meticulous searches.
• Ability to concentrate and remain focused when performing multiple / repeat database searches.
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
• Basic understanding of anti-corruption, anti-money laundering and sanctions legislation and human rights legal principles as they apply to businesses and/or willingness to learn.
• An interest in, and awareness of, current affairs.
• Good oral and written expression.
