A multinational banking and financial services firm based at Canary Wharf are currently recruiting for a skilled, highly motivated Equity Research desktop publisher to work on a permanent basis Monday to Friday from 9am - 5:30pm. The successful candidate will be working within a client team producing research materials and papers for the business as well as providing Desktop Publishing support.

The research desktop publisher role will focus on ensuring research is formatted professionally and in line with the firm’s branding guidelines. In addition there will be numerous key responsibilities around data maintenance, training, liaison with IT, trouble-shooting, scheduling of reports, as well as liaison with other regions to ensure the local departments fit in with the global team’s aspirations. Other key responsibilities are listed below:

The key responsibilities for this role will be:

  • Reviewing research to ensure it is professionally presented in line with the firm’s requirements
  • Key production responsibilities
  • Formatting research reports, PowerPoint presentations, and other forms of research output
  • Training analysts/assistants in the use of the departmental template
  • Scheduling reports with the production team
  • Liaising with production teams in other regions to ensure the global workflow model works
  • Establishing relationships with the print shop and monitoring quality
  • Troubleshooting problems and routing them to the correct team

The successful candidate must have the following skills to be considered:

  • Experience working within a multinational financial firm producing equity research
  • Expert knowledge on Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong communication skills
  • Comfortable learning and using new templates
  • Confident with workflow systems
  • Organised, efficient, able to cope in a busy environment
  • Highly organised approach to work
  • Must be able to think laterally and identify potential issues
  • Attention to detail is a must
  • Ability to build strong relationships with internal peers and research analysts alike
  • Be able to prioritise workloads and work well both individually and in a collaborative sense with other team members.
