One of our clients, based next to Bank Station, is looking for a temporary Office Manager to manage its London office during a 6 month period of maternity leave. The current Office Manager works 2 days a week but the client would also look at 4 1/2 days a week. The role is primarily focused on the day-to-day tasks associated with the continuous functioning of the London office, as well as working in conjunction with the US HR team to provide a first line of HR support for UK employees.
Principal Responsibilities
Office Management:
- Preparation and maintenance of the London Business Continuity Plan
- Working with building management and maintenance to ensure workspace is well maintained
- Seating plan allocation and administration, co-ordination of desk moves when necessary
- Administration of Seamless food booking system
- Employee leave monitoring & review (sickness, vacation, training etc)
- Employee training monitoring & reimbursement
- Organisation of team functions (Christmas, Summer etc)
- Travel administration for London employees
- Recruiting co-ordination (meeting scheduling etc)
- Management of shopping deliveries
- Liaison with external office service providers (Cleaners, Air Conditioning etc)
- Office supplies
HR Support:
- Co-ordination of new hire training & induction with HR team
- Liaison with HR team re administration of employee benefits schemes (Bupa, pension, life cover etc)
- Fielding employee queries regarding payroll, benefits etc
Qualifications-Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Task-focused individual with good organizational skills
- Proven ability to deliver
- Track record of multi-tasking
- Excellent people skills
- Knowledge of UK employee law would be useful
Hourly rate – £17-20 per hour depending on experience
