Our client, aleading Asset Management Firm based in the heart of the City, are looking for an experienced Receptionist who is forward thinking, proactive and has a confident approach. The ideal candidate will have A-C Grades in GCSE's for Maths and English. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience within a corporate environment. 


The Role

  • Switch board duties, answering all phone calls promptly with a polite manner and transferring them to the correct and relevant team.
  • Face of the company and first point of contact, meeting and greeting visitors and external clients professionally and courteously
  • Accurately record and manage deliveries or outgoing courier requirements.
  • Order stationary, presentations and business cards as required using the internal system to raise POs and receipt orders.
  • Ordering flowers as required and maintain an accurate record of such orders to be used when consolidating invoices.
  • Assist with various projects as requested by management
  • Manage the use of the meeting rooms for internal and external purposes.
  • Accurately book meeting rooms on outlook and arrange catering and set ups as required.
  • Liaising with hospitality staff to arrange catering facilities as necessary, especially late notice requests.

 The Person

  • Ability to remain calm, collected and charming
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and adapt to changes quickly
  • Energetic, enthusiastic and committed
  • Good switchboard skills and experience
  • Experience as a trained receptionist in a similar environment
  • Flexible – required to work as part of a shift system
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to communicate with guests and staff at all levels
  • Evident attention to detail
  • Adaptability to work in various areas
  • Minimum of 3 years as a receptionist
  • Knowledge of financial services including asset management and subsequent client needs and expectations
  • Good Knowledge and competent use of all Microsoft packages including, Word, Excel and   Power Point
