Payroll Officer – 3 Month FTC

Dagenham

£13-15p/h

My client, an International retail brandbased in Chelsea, are looking for an intelligent payroll officer to join their team on a fixed 6 month contract to start immediately.

Main responsibilities:

  • Manage and process monthly payroll for UK staff
  • Handle and resolve all payroll queries
  • Run year end procedures – P60s and P11Ds
  • Management of sick and annual leave requests.
  • Create Salary Journals and complete Balance sheet reconciliation each month.
  • Issue clock cards and prepare overtime spreadsheet on a weekly basis.
  • Submit pensions on a monthly basis.
  • Deal with all tax matters.  
  • Prepare holiday accrual spreadsheets and absence records on a monthly basis.
  • Prepare and issue standard letters in liaison with managers.

 

Skills and experience:

  • Knowledge of relevant industry payroll practices and systems
  • Ability to understand HR & Payroll requirements
  • Excellent time management.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Intermediate level understanding of UK payroll & tax ruling systems.
