This is an exciting opportunity to support the executive team of a financial services trade association in a wide range of administration and finance related tasks.
If you are highly organised, a confident communicator, are able to juggle numerous tasks, have Sage 50 experience and an adaptable approach to work, this could be the role for you.
Responsibilities
- Ensuring smooth running of the office
- General office administration including filing, faxing and photocopying
- Compiling, formatting and proofing documentation
- Assisting in the preparation of the quarterly management accounts and the annual budget
- Liaising with the finance, risk, audit and remuneration committee
- Monitoring and managing the bank accounts, processing VAT, paying purchase invoices, credit control and invoicing members
- Liaising with suppliers, contractors and managing relationships
- Managing subscriptions and office contracts
- Reviewing insurance policies
- Liaising with the landlord and reviewing lease and maintenance agreements
- Working with the external auditors during the annual company audit
- First point of contact for HR queries
- Recruitment coordination; sending out offer of employment letters, contracts, new starter packs and dealing with references
- Preparing payroll instructions
- Managing benefit schemes and pension policies
- Any other required ad hoc tasks
Requirements
- Advanced Microsoft Office Skills
- Sage 50 Accounts expertise – bookkeeping experience
- Ability to multitask, manage and prioritise a varied workload
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise with all levels
- Ability to work well in a collaborative team environment
- Professional telephone manner
- Highly organised with excellent time management skills
