A fun and dynamic events company is currently looking for an ambitious and hardworking Finance / Payroll individual to join their sociable London team, based in the heart of the City.

This will be an all encompassing position with a predominant focus on assisting with payroll, pensions and payments. You will be working in a small team, embracing each others strengths and working simultaneously to achieve an effective outcome.

Main responsibilities as the Finance / Payroll Assistant:

• Acting as the first point of contact for any payroll enquiries
• Processing timesheets with strict deadlines
• Collecting information and preparing for payroll for a high volume of employees
• Liaising with clients and employees to clarify any discrepancies and resolves any issues
• Updating spreadsheets using Excel
• Preparing BACS files and processing payments
• Some credit control
• Pension queries
• Create, send and chase a high volume of invoices on a weekly basis
• Assist the Finance Director by running reports and general assistance
• Recommend and implement new processes to maximise efficiency

Main requirements as the Finance / Payroll Assistant:

• A proven background in either Payroll or Finance (or equivalent) is essential
• AAT, ACCA or equivalent would be seen as an advantage
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to work to strict deadlines
• Good Maths skills (A* - B in Maths GCSE or equivalent)
• Experience with financial software such as SAGE would be preferable
• Exceptional organiser
