Head of Major Giving within Charity, £35-39k Waterloo
Working with a well-recognised, fantastic and progressive charity, the Data team is looking for a Head of Major Giving to join them on a permanent basis. This is a chance to get involved with national campaigns, fundraising appeals and incredible events.
Who will you be working for?
Their London office is based in central London right in a thriving part of the city. You'll never be short of impressive eateries and drinking holes that exist in the riverside area. You'll be working within a beautiful classical building in a close knit team that prides itself on a friendly and welcoming vibe.
This charity continuously leads campaigns and raises awareness across the nation and is widely recognised for its work in transforming the legislative landscape for Britain. They have ambition to reach out to their communities sharing information, interventions and knowledge to a wide audience. They have continued to work closely with people from all walks of live within the LGBT community.
What does the role consist of?
This role focuses on creating, building and maintaining long-term relationships with their major donors, developing strategy, stewarding relationships, and developing the donor pipeline to maximise income and influencing opportunities. The post holder will also need to work cross departmentally and develop internal relationships, in order to ensure the outcomes agreed with our major donors are deliverable and that existing relationships are developed to their maximum potential.
- Develop and implement a long term Major Giving strategy which contributes to the overall Fundraising plan
- cultivate, manage and grow new and existing relationships with major donors to achieve agreed targets for income and network development
- lead the development of engagement events and communications for major donors at all levels, in a way that maximises potential for networking and new introductions, in collaboration senior team develop new donation propositions ('case for support') based on the business plan that are attractive to major donor
- identify, research, approach, and key work new prospects in order to secure donations and long term commitment to Stonewall from donors to develop rapport and relationships with existing and new donors
- develop and maintain a donor pipeline supported by excellent records and data analysis
- oversee the development and negotiation of agreements relating to major gifts and regular major giving
What will the successful candidate be like?
- Experience of working in a fast moving, target driven environment with proven success in developing and maintaining donor relationships and engagement activity.
- Experience of working in a creative and innovative manner, identifying opportunities and applying sound strategic thinking in developing new major gift propositions and major donor engagement activity
- Significant experience of securing major gifts and/or developing major donor programmes.
- Strong level of knowledge and insight into current and emerging trends in major giving, in sector and with high net worth individuals
- Excellent oral and written skills including preparing and making presentations and donor communication.
- Excellent interpersonal and networking skills, with experience of high level client engagement and networking
- Proven ability to motivate and support others to achieve successful major giving outcomes.
- Strong time management and organisational skills with the ability to work on multiple tasks under pressure.
