A new fantastic opportunity has arisen to work for a global management consulting firm who are one of the world’s leading advisor on business strategy. Our client is looking for a strong design specialist, with good PowerPoint skills, who is seeking the opportunity to build on their existing skill set and desires to expand into multimedia. The hours for this permanent position are Monday to Friday 9am to 5:30pm.

The role of the graphic specialist will be to provide a high level of design support for the office to the highest standards of quality and accuracy, and within challenging deadlines. Daily activities will include proposal design, document formatting, template design, design for print/digital, video shooting/editing and other multimedia tasks. The ideal candidate would be someone who has worked in a desktop publishing/design environment for a minimum of 2-5 years. Some experience in video production would also be an advantage.

Some key responsibilities within this role will be as follows:

  • Designing and production in PowerPoint and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Creating presentations, flyers, posters and mock-ups within corporate guidelines
  • Becoming an expert on the Company brand
  • Running PowerPoint training sessions for new Consultants
  • Editing videos to a basic standard and becoming more advanced over time
  • Working with the case teams in an advisory capacity to ensure that finished presentations are of the highest quality
  • Proof-reading own work and QC of other documents to ensure accuracy 
  • Updating intranet web pages
  • Assisting in training of new consultants
  • Being the main point of contact for archive requests and retrieval
  • Helping with admin related tasks for the closing and opening of new cases
  • Demonstrating a continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes and work cooperatively to provide first class customer service
  • Mentoring less experienced members of the team and new starters

The desired candidate should have the following skills and experience to be selected for interview:

  • Minimum 2-5 years desktop publishing/design experience in a corporate environment
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Expert knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator
  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of Adobe Dreamweaver or equivalent              
  • Basic to intermediate video production knowledge – particularly utilising Adobe Premiere Pro
  • Able to work effectively under pressure, with minimal supervision
  • Team player and effective communicator
  • Strong organisational skills and able to prioritise work flow
