Our client, a leading Accountancy company based in the heart of the City, are looking for a facilities administrator who is forward thinking, proactive and has a confident approach. The ideal candidate will have A-C Grades in GCSE's for Maths and English. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience within a corporate environment,

The Role
Greet incoming couriers, sign for the packages, log them in our records, notify the recipients of their arrival and ensure they are safely handed over and signed for. 
Accept incoming deliveries and ensure they are either delivered to the correct team or carefully put away. In the case of stationery deliveries, these should be unpacked and checked against orders before being delivered. 
Delivering larger packages and stationery orders to their recipients. 
Distributing and collecting archive boxes. 
Delivering paper to print areas, checking and re-stocking photocopiers, cleaning photocopiers as necessary and reporting faults to IT. 
Assisting the Early Morning Assistant with room set ups (moving furniture) as needed and doing room set ups in his absence. 
Also covering some of the Early Morning Assistant’s maintenance tasks if he is absent, especially replacing light bulbs. 
PAT testing of electrical items, once proper training has been given, and maintaining PAT records.
Unload and sort incoming post into teams’ pigeonholes, opening envelopes as appropriate. Take note of and follow the various rules for dealing with post. 
Keep the General Office tidy and report any faults or problems with equipment, and to contact suppliers about repairs as required.
2Assist the team Officer with collecting outgoing post from team trays if needed, and collect it in her absence, at ‘out and about’ times. 
Frank all outgoing post and bag it up in time for the daily collection and log and frank all outgoing registered or Special Delivery post. 
Make a note of postal price changes and rule changes and raise any potential issues. 
Order consumables for the franking machine and top up our accounts as appropriate. 
Learn the fire evacuation and other health and safety processes and be aware of and informed about dealing with potential risks such as suspect packages. 
Learn how to use the binding/laminating/copying equipment.
