Our client, a global Engineering company, are looking for a 2nd jobber Marketer who has gained both on and offline Marketing experience and has ideally come from Engineering, Construction or Property background. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who has gained some Marketing experience but  would like to be mentored and learn from one of the major marketers in Retail Marketing.

The Role
Marketing:
  • Company Newsletter - Work with the Partners and Associates to prepare and issue a monthly newsletter.
  • Active on Social Media and building our brand through great content
  • Work with employees to create insight articles
  • Create CVs for all new starters to circulate to prospective clients and undertake a review of CVs every 6 months.
  • Set up and maintain Project Data Sheets
  • Assist with submissions as and when required.
  • Update the presentation slides on a regular basis
  • Prepare and update presentations for client meetings as and when required. 
  • Design flyers for events to be attended by Partners and Associates for Website, LinkedIn and Twitter.
  • Design artwork or briefing companies on the artwork for print advertising

Events:

  • Research and organise client entertainment events including preparing and keeping track of invites (such as Goodwood, shooting, sailing, cricket, etc.)
  • Keep up to date with and attend Young Entrepreneurs in Property (YEP) events and booking passes whilst ensuring that there is also attendance from the Cost Management and Project Management teams.
  • Keep up to date with sector conferences and events and book/organise as and when required.  Prepare and update the events budget report, keeping track of all invoices and costs of events.  Help organise and attend Petanque Event and the bi-annual client reception. Help to organise Dinners on an annual basis.
  • Attend industry events, dinners and business/social meetings as requested by the business.
Business Development:  
  • Preparation and issuing of Sector Pipeline Reports for monthly Sector Meetings and collation and issuing of “Glenigan” marketing information to the Sector Teams. 
  • Effective maintenance of the business development information stored on our company document management system.
  • Arrange interim sector meetings with the Partners to ensure sector actions are up to date.
  • Attend various industry events when requested to do so.  Keep track of contacts made and refer people to relevant Partners and Associates for follow up.


The Person

  • Good experience of working in a business development and marketing environment
  • Working in construction or property sector would be desirable but not essential.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Good working knowledge of IT systems – Microsoft Office and Indesign.
  • Analytical abilities.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to prioritise.
  • Able to demonstrate working on own initiative.
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Team player
  • Organisational skills managing administration, systems and workload effectively.
  • Confident, positive, flexible and approachable
