Leading boutique City based law firm is looking to hire a new Administrative Assistant is to assist and support the legal secretaries within a department in the provision of secretarial and administrative support to fee earners.  Duties will include day to day administration including filing, copying and scanning, typing of letters, memoranda, monthly reports, bills, file notes, etc, creating, amending legal documents to a standard format, using precedents, proof reading documentation, ensuring typed material is accurate and well presented, assisting fee earners and secretaries in administrative tasks, e.g. obtaining billing information and preparing bills, opening, closing and maintaining manual and computer filing of ongoing matters, maintaining database, where required, responding to telephone enquiries and ensuring messages are passed on quickly and accurately, keeping abreast of technology changes by undergoing training where necessary complying with the Firm’s practices, procedures and quality standards and any ad hoc duties as may be reasonably required.  A flexible, supportive and co-operative approach to work is a key requirement of the role.  Likewise, a positive attitude is also prerequisite.  Administrative Assistants are expected to display teamwork and a willingness to work overtime when the needs of clients or the firm so dictate.  ILEX qualified would be great as would the ability to touch type and have 1-2 years previous legal/administrative experience.  Standard hours will be 35 hours a week working a shift pattern between 8:30am and 7pm.
